I started my grad school career in Fall of 2009. My first classes were Psychopharmacology and Eldercare in the 21st Century. In Spring, I took Group and Family Therapy. This Summer I have taken Group Experience, Metaphors in Child & Adolescent Psychopathology. I am currently taking Metaphors in Adult Psychopathology.

More and more I have been thinking that I need to get my coping skills in place. It's easy to get immersed in the material -especially if it's relevant to my life.

It's funny -when I was a kid, I thought getting into college, marriage, career were all things that would fall into my lap. Not true! It takes work and dogged tenacity. I remember getting laid-off from my job and thinking it was a blessing because then I could focus on getting into school. Of course, I had noooo idea how to go about applying, how to ask questions, how to research schools...I used Google a lot. Internet searches are awesome for getting lots of information (and for distractions while searching).
